Miss Sixty Brand was founded in Italy by creative and visionary Wicky Hassan and his business partner Renato Rossi. The first real Feminine Fashion Denim ever, Miss Sixty was the pioneer of denim curves and cuts, flairs and colors. Its first masterpiece, the Tommy.
This female five pocket denim, becomes immediately a worldwide best-seller due to its innovative stretch denim fabric and sensual curvy design.
1995 – NEW HEARDQUARTERS
Miss Sixty’s fame grows over the 90s offering exciting young, colourful, 60&70s-inspired, yet contemporary, products. The brand quickly expands to cover the European Market and new headquarters are set up in Chieti, Italy.
1999 – MISS SIXTY TAKES LONDON
The First Miss Sixty Store Opening takes place in London’s Covent Garden.
2000 – MISS SIXTY AT YOUR FEET!
Miss Sixty starts its evolution into a complete collection brand with the launch of its Footwear Collection.
2001 - FIRST WORLDWIDE CAMPAIGN
The first international campaign is shot by one of the masters of feminine fashion photographers: Ellen Von Unwerth, who portrays an incredibly young Natalia Vodianova, together with Raquel Zimmerman.
2002 – MISS SIXTY EYEWEAR LICENSE
Miss Sixty completes its offer launching Glasses collection through a licensing agreement with Marcolin Spa.
2003 - INTERNATIONAL FAME!
Retail Expansion takes place as Flagship Stores are opened worldwide in Milan, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Shanghai.
Collaborations with top fashion photographers continue as Mario Testino captures the Miss Sixty ad campaigns and immortalizes another iconic product, the Dublin.
An innovation in the use of Denim, with a lightweight 7oz denim in an unconventional style such as the interpretation of the cargo pant at a time when denim was made up of the classic five pockets .
It becomes quickly a must-have appreciated also by models and celebrities such as Cameron Diaz and Britney Spears.
2004 - THE CREATION OF THE SKINNY PAR EXCELLENCE: THE J.LOT!
The birth of another Miss Sixty icon, the J.Lot, uber-feminine skinny five pocket with zip details on the bottom leg, shot by Tom Munro and styled by Arianne Philips, respectively Madonna’s photographer and Madonna’s personal stylist.
2005 - THE PERFUME!
Miss Sixty’s first fragrance is launched in collaboration with Coty and featuring testimonial Asia Argento The brand continues to develop into a lifestyle brand and a license agreement with Morellato is made to produce and distribute Miss Sixty Jewels and Miss Sixty Time.
2006 – MISS SIXTY AT THE GUGGENHEIM!
First Miss Sixty Fashion Show takes place in New York City inaugurating Olympus Fashion week at the exclusive Capitale venue. Gaining acclaim from International press, the fashion show sees testimonial Asia Argento, international face of Miss Sixty, glide down the runway.
In the same year, Miss Sixty becomes the first fashion brand to show at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, in a historical catwalk styled by the legendary fashion editor Katie Grand.
2007 – MISS SIXTY GOES EAST!
As Miss Sixty becomes increasingly international its retail expands in the main emerging markets, such as Russia with openings in top locations.
2008 – DO YOU MISS SHOPPING?
Shopping 24/7 made available through the launch of the Miss Sixty online store.
Birth of the Radio, a fashion zippered rock inspired five pocket denim, captured by photographer Camila Akrans.
2009 – MISS SIXTY RED CARPET!
As apparel collection became stronger, fashion week becomes the perfect window for the Miss Sixty collection. Celebrities embrace Miss Sixty unique fashion & denim style and choose to have special pieces made for their appearances such as Rihanna.
2010 - TV COMMERCIAL!
Lifestyle comes full circle as Miss Sixty in collaboration with Renault, launches the urban car Miss Sixty Twingo, personalized with delicately feminine ‘60’s graphics and motifs.
The same year sees Miss Sixty approach TV for the first time with a provoking and sensual advertising campaign, directed by Ellen Von Unwerth and performed by Belen Rodriguez.
2011 – MISS SIXTY DESIGN ATELIER
A new specialized design center is inaugurated at the Miss Sixty headquarters, bringing together all crafts of the trade and is a breeding ground for young design talents.
2012 - EMOTIONAL DENIM!
Miss Sixty launches a special capsule collection called “Labyrinth of Emotions” which explores the use of denim in its many shapes, forms and hues. The success of the collection is palpable as items sell-out in stores and the press give acclaim.
